Project Archivist for Architectural Records Digitization
The Project Archivist for Architectural Records Digitization is a term-appointed, 1-year project position at the University of Oklahoma Libraries that will focus on preparing architectural records of significant cultural, historical, and research value to be digitized and made openly accessible online via OU Libraries’ digital collections repository. The Project Archivist’s work will focus specifically on archival collections in the American School Archive at OU Libraries, an archival collecting area that documents the imaginative school of architectural design and practice that developed under the guidance of pioneering architects Bruce Goff, Herb Greene, and others at the University of Oklahoma in the 1950s and 1960s. Based on established criteria and priorities, this position will make informed selections of archival collection items from fully processed collections to be digitized and published online, documenting these decisions in project spreadsheets. The Project Archivist will work with archival materials including physical architectural drawings, print publications, paper records, and photographic prints, negatives, and slides. Billing, Media, and Reserves Specialist (Senior Admin Support Specialist)
Reporting to the Head of Storage & Delivery, the Billing, Media, and Reserves Specialist is a classified staff position within Access Services. This unit-level position is responsible for the supervision and day-to-day operations of billing, media, and reserves services. Working as a key member of Bizzell Access Services, this supervisor position serves as a liaison with the Office of the Bursar and works closely with faculty members across campus. This position provides customer support at a primary service point in the main library and is responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of all media and materials on reserves. The position works with library administration and staff throughout the University Libraries system to assist in the development and implementation of billing and reserve services, policies, and procedures in a manner that ensures customer service excellence.
